Bailieborough Community School Selected As Lidl Ireland x Gaisce #SeeYourBees Grand Prize Winner

Bailieborough Community School (Cavan) has been selected as the grand prize winner in the Lidl Ireland and Gaisce – The President’s Award #SeeYourBees photo competition 2022! 📸🐝
 
The students have won €5,000 towards their Gaisce Adventure Journey for camping equipment, food, as well as reusable resources their school can use again and again. The Gaisce Adventure Journey takes place over at least two days and one night, challenging young people to plan and prepare for an outdoor exploration or expedition, together. It is an essential part of every Gaisce participant’s Award, and all participants are committed to the principle of ‘leave no trace’.
 
As part of the nationwide #BulbsForBees campaign with Gaisce – The President’s Award, communities across Ireland planted well over half a million pollinator friendly bulbs in 2021. As the bulbs grew and flowered, budding photographers in their hundreds submitted incredible images to us of pollinators like bees landing and enjoying the pollination they provided.
