Lidl Helping Hands
Lidl Helping Hands is our company-wide volunteering programme which allows all colleagues to help achieve one of our core values by helping to make a positive impact on our local communities. All Lidl colleagues are entitled to one paid volunteer day per year in order to allow them the opportunity to give back to the community.
Last year, we partnered with four different charities who assisted us in providing the opportunity to our staff to give back to the community. Colleagues from right across the business took part in volunteering activities with Clean Coasts, FoodCloud, Jigsaw and Leave No Trace
Despite pandemic restrictions, over 230 people volunteered for over 950 hours with one of our four partner charities. Over the 950 hours,colleagues took part in a range of activities from beach cleaning to food redistribution.
Going forward, we aim to provide further chances for our Lidl colleagues to do their bit for our communities.
