08 OVERVIEW OUR PRODUCE With over 2 million customers passing through Lidl stores each week, we have established longstanding relationships with our local suppliers and have become a valued part of the communities we source from. We take pride in working with the best local suppliers to bring quality Irish and Northern Irish produce to our stores while creating rural employment and export opportunities. Many of these suppliers have been working with us since we first opened our doors back in 1999 and have grown with us during this time. Supplier innovation is central to us being able to offer customers new and exciting products, as well as progressing our sustainability goals. We have a long history of working with and supporting innovative suppliers across the island of Ireland.
