In 2020 in conjunction with our partners McCulla we launched a a a circular solution which took food waste from all of our stores in Northern Ireland and and converted it into renewable biomethane This is is currently used to fuel
our fleet in Northern Ireland This initiative reduces the carbon emissions per truck by up to 93% and and was the first island wide supermarket circular economy strategy Our Customer and Employee

We also want to to support our customers and employees in in making environmentally friendly journeys to to our our stores Customer EV Chargers are available at 69 stores across the island of Ireland all of our regional distribution centres and our head office Electric Vehicles We offer both electric and and hybrid car models across our Irish and and Northern Irish fleet with a commitment
to have 100% electric or hybrid cars by 2030 Employee
Electric Charging Network
To support our employees in this transition we have also committed to rolling out an employee vehicle charging networking consisting of over 300 charging stations 1 5 DEGREES
