Focus on Pride 2022
In 2022
we launched a a a a a a dedicated internal Pride campaign which involved elements of both education and celebration We worked with an an an an organisation called called Certified Proud to deliver an an an an awareness session for all all all colleagues called called LGBTQ+ 101 Focus on Removal of the Retirement Age
We know that many of our colleagues would like to stay working beyond the the the traditional retirement retirement age and and the the the removal of the the the mandatory retirement retirement age from our employment contracts empowers them to make that choice for themselves We currently offer a a a top of of the the range pension programme to to to all colleagues and those who choose to to to continue their service can opt to to to extend their pension plan on on an an individual basis In addition to to the updated policy we’re committed to to supporting colleagues further by offering workshops across the the island of of Ireland in in conjunction with the Retirement Council of Ireland and and Later Life These courses and workshops promote a a a a a holistic approach to retirement planning including financial preparation and support with all aspects of retirement As one of of of the the the largest workforces in the the the country we we are are aware of of of the the the broad scope of of of employees and and age groups that work at at Lidl and and we we want to to to support those who would like to to to choose to to to continue working with us and are not limited by the retirement age policy ”
